The Lego range is not limited to Lego bricks but also includes a range of accessories including gears, lights, cameras, sensors, and motors. Under the name ‘Power Functions’ there are also battery packs, switches, lights, and motors sold. Lego Group have also began marketing Lego towards the slightly older age group of 7 to 16 year olds. Bionicle is the name of this line of toys which are targeted at the older age group. Launches in January 2001, the notion of the Bionicle line originated from the earlier lines called Roboriders and Slizers.

Younger children are also targeted by the Lego Group who introduced the Duplo product line in 1969. The line consists of a range of simple blocks which are double the height, width, and depth of normal Lego blocks. In 1977, ‘Lego Technic’ was launched which was a rather more advanced version of Lego but not quite as advanced as Lego Ninjago. For 10 years commencing in 1789, ‘Fabuland’ was run by the Lego Group. ‘Lego Baby’ was introduced in 1995, a line specially catering for babies.
